YPN: The Worst of both Worlds
I was banned from Adsense over the summer for “not being within the spirit of the program.” I knew they were going to drop the hammer eventually, so I built all my pages so that I could easily switch in another PPC provider across my MFA network.
I was using YPN for a while with limited success. Their targeting is absolutely horrible (even if you follow their tips), but their CPC is usually a little higher than what you will see with Adsense and other PPC programs.
About a week ago (on the 17th, to be exact) I saw the CPC drop to unacceptable levels. This seems to be aligned with YSM rolling out blocked domains.
Using YPN now means that your ads are not targeted and, in the rare opportunity that someone actually clicks on one of them, they don’t pay.
Needless to say, I’m not running YPN anymore…

I agree, for being an “exclusive” network, they suck. I’ve had *very* little success with them. Their problem is the targeting, it’s rarely correct. The CTR is terrible, and while the CPC is higher, they filter out way too many legit clicks as fraud.
